Start of the Transition:
For the company’s 30th anniversary, Adrien MIR was appointed as CEO, while Didier MESNIER assumed the role of President.
Didier graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (Sup’Aéro) in 1983 and began his career as Head of the Mechanics Laboratory at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Constructions Aéronautiques (ENSICA). During this period, he was also involved in the teaching of these two schools.
He decided to join the space sector in 1989, taking charge successively of mechanical modelling and analysis and mechanical and thermal architecture for various satellites such as SPOT 4, STENTOR…
In 1994, he founded MECANO ID which he has since developed through organic growth.
Today, he gave the compagny general management reins to Adrien MIR, but continues to be MECANO ID President.
Nathalie has had the pleasure of working for the space industry for 20 years. Certified engineer by the CNIPF for her work on dimensional metrology, Quality Manager and then Project Manager in SMEs and in a large group, she joined MECANO ID 2 years ago where she manages the QMS and Product Assurance with a “field and concrete” approach.
Adrien manages the company’s departments: from engineering to production.
Passionate about the space industry, this Gadz’Arts (ENSAM Bo206) joined MECANO in 2010. He has held various positions: mechanical analysis engineer, test engineer, tender response manager. In 2019, he became the Operations Manager. As such, he defines and manages the industrial policy that meets the company’s challenges.
In 2024, he became General Manager.
Laurent holds an engineering degree from ENSMA and a postgraduate diploma in business management from the IAE in Aix en Provence. He began his career in 2001 as a satellite thermal engineer, then joined MECANO ID in 2008 to carry out mechanical and thermal architecture activities for projects in the space sector.
Laurent and his team in the Project Management department are responsible for organising projects involving several of MECANO ID’s internal trades (design, mechanical/thermal analysis, composite production, environmental testing) or external partners (machining, component supply). Its objective is to guarantee the execution of the project in compliance with technical requirements, quality, deadlines and costs, with the aim of a constructive and transparent exchange between all the players.
Eric graduated from Sup’Aéro in 1995 and began his career as mechanical analyst in Matra Marconi Space. He then held development responsible function before taking management responsibilities (for 20 years) in various services or departments, all in mechanical products and analyses field. In 2020, he left Airbus Defence and Space to join its subsidiary Airbus OneWeb Satellites as Design to Manufacture Manager where he coordinated activities between Toulouse engineering teams and Florida production.
Willing to take on new challenges, he joined MECANO in 2020 as Operations Manager, in order to benefit from his experience in engineering, production and management. As such, he manages operational activities and the industrial policy that meets the company’s challenges.
Didier obtained his PhD in energetics in 1992 and has been working in the space industry ever since. He joined MECANO ID in 2003 and held the positions of project manager, project department manager, and tender response manager before joining the Business Development department. He is now in charge of the Science, Observation, Exploration and Telecommunications Business Lines.
David holds engineering degrees from Arts&Métiers ParisTech (Li194) and postgraduate diploma from ESTA (Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aérospatiales, promo 98). He began his career in 1999 as system engineer at MBDA, then joined Thales Alenia Space for 10 years to carry out mechanical and thermal architecture for telecom payloads and purchasing manager for payloads equipments and antennas. After 2 years at ESA-ESTEC as Payload Engineer, he spent 10 years as Antenna Product Manager at MDA Corporation in Canada, before joining MECANO-ID in June 2023.
David is in charge of the Business Line dedicated to Launchers and the product line for large structures. Its objective is to develop large structures products using cutting edge technologies to address the launchers industry, especially for upper parts of the micro- and mini-launchers.
Nordin Lebbad, a graduate of SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM, gained a strong foundation in mechanical engineering after completing preparatory classes at Lycée Louis Rascol.
With over 15 years of experience, he held key positions in the industry before joining MECANO ID in 2020. Starting as a project manager, he became in 2023 Business Line Manager for Smallsats and Product Line Manager for separation systems and space structures.
Drawn to the flexibility and responsiveness of a small business like MECANO ID, he values close team collaboration, the diversity of missions, and the ability to innovate quickly. MECANO ID enables him to contribute to cutting-edge NewSpace projects while thriving in a technical and collaborative environment focused on excellence.
Holder of an engineering degree in Electronics and a postgraduate diploma in business management from the IAE in Dijon, Carole joined the Purchasing field in 1998 as Purchasing Manager. She has worked in several industrial and aeronautical companies.
Carole has held the position of Purchasing Manager at MECANO ID since the beginning of 2022 where she manages all of the company’s Purchasing with her team. Its objective is to provide any internal customers with a tangible or intangible asset, by negotiating the best conditions of quality, price and deadlines, while securing the interests of the company.
After graduating from ISAE-ENSICA in 2012, Nicolas joined MECANO ID as a mechanical analysis engineer.
