MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CAD

The requirement

The solution

MECANO ID has a design office manned by a team using CATIA V4 and V5. They provide design support services for general engineering activities as well as subcontracted tasks such as satellite payload layout or detailed mechanical system and subassembly design.

MECHANICAL ANALYSIS

The requirement

Designing or verifying the mechanical strength of complex systems subjected to static or, more importantly, dynamic environmental constraints are tasks that demand finite element analysis skills.
This numerical simulation process guarantees convergence towards an optimal design at minimal cost.

The solution

Mechanical design, MECANO ID’s original core skill, is performed either using finite element analysis with tools like MSC. Patran or IDEAS Master Series for preparing models and displaying results, and MSC. Nastran or MSC. Dytran for analysis, or manually by applying classic mechanical theory. _ Thanks to synergy between the engineering and the vibration & shock departments, MECANO ID has developed extensive skills in structural dynamics simulation (modal response, sine wave, random), prediction, test management and model resetting.

PRODUCTION

The requirement

Supplying mechanical sub-assemblies requires a production management system capable of guaranteeing traceability, compliance testing and delivery within the kind of deadlines specific to the aerospace industry.

The solution

While MECANO ID does not have in-house production facilities, it provides production management and traceability for subcontracted manufacturing tasks.

We are thus able to offer comprehensive service packages including the development of mock-ups, qualification and flight models.
